THE GIFT OF CHOICE and UNRESOLVED FEELINGS

One of the most profound things I’ve learned in my journey is that choice is a gift that belongs to each of us, forever. Until we fully understand this, we often hand over our power—sometimes to others, sometimes to destructive habits or addictions—without even realizing it. Fear and guilt are two of the biggest reasons we give up our choices. But when we remind ourselves of this truth, we can choose, more consciously, to be the master of our own lives.

Now, let’s talk about responsibility. We, alone, are responsible for our choices. Not someone else, and not even God. That’s because the choices we make are for the benefit of our own soul’s evolution. In the context of the Message Art, soul evolution means coming to truly understand the essence of who we are, as part of the Divine.

The only way to truly know something is to experience it. Every experience we have on Earth comes from a choice, whether we know we’re making it or not. And each experience offers us a chance to learn more about who we truly are.

What I’ve Learned About Suicide

From my divine helpers, I’ve come to understand a few crucial things about suicide:

  1. The decision to end my life, like all decisions, is mine and mine alone.

  2. I can’t destroy my problems any more than I can destroy my soul, which is the essence of who I am.

  3. No matter how or when I die, even by my own hand, I will bring all of myself with me to the spirit world—my joys, sorrows, memories, and the wisdom I’ve gained.

  4. I’ll also bring with me any unresolved feelings, such as anger, guilt, or bitterness. These unresolved emotions are energies that come with me because energy cannot be destroyed—only transformed.

Unresolved feelings are energies we’ve ignored, pushed away, or haven’t healed. Over time, they accumulate like heavy baggage in our body’s energy field. This dense, negative energy can block the flow of love, eventually causing physical or emotional dis-ease.

The choice to heal these unresolved feelings always remains ours—even in the spirit world. We are never rushed, judged, or pressured by God, or our divine helpers, to heal before we’re ready. And if we don’t heal these feelings while we’re here on Earth, we can do so in the spirit world, where we’ll have a Life Review. This is a loving process that helps us see how our choices have impacted our soul’s evolution.

The Benefits of Healing on Earth

Although we have eternity to heal, there are advantages to doing it now, while we’re still here. Healing our unresolved feelings on Earth allows us to:

  • Free ourselves from the negative energy weighing us down, enhancing our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

  • Transform our experiences and relationships into positive ones.

  • Greatly reduce the amount of dense energy we carry with us when we return to the spirit world, which speeds up the evolution of our soul.

How I Healed My Own Unresolved Feelings

When I committed to healing my unresolved feelings, I was guided through a two-step process:

  1. Identify the Unresolved Feeling: I had to recognize its existence and that I was holding onto it. The sign of an unresolved feeling is when a past memory triggers a negative emotion, like sadness, anger, or bitterness.

  2. Heal the Feeling: To heal, I needed to find the gift within the experience that caused the unresolved feeling. This means discovering what valuable lesson or quality that experience brought me.

All experiences, even the ones we think are negative, are opportunities to grow. For example, my experience as an addict, which I once believed was the most negative thing in my life, led me to feel compassion for others struggling with addiction. Once I fully recognized the gift of compassion, the negative energy of my unresolved feelings was transformed into something positive.

After months of doing this healing work, I felt lighter and freer. What amazed me the most was the deep inner peace I discovered for the first time, and the personal relationship I developed with God through journaling.

The most humbling realization was that my addiction—something I thought was the worst part of my life—contained the most important gifts for my soul’s evolution. I learned compassion, acceptance, and unconditional love, both for myself and others.

This journey has taught me that every experience, even the most painful, can lead to growth, healing, and understanding of the incredible gift of choice.
